Coolhurst Cavaliers Claim Win In Last Tie of the Season

The Coolhurst Cavaliers claim their second win of the season, overcoming a strong Bristol Buccaneers lineup 3-1 and cementing their spot at 4th in the Optasia Squash Super League.

Before tonight’s tie, a convincing win for the Bristol Buccaneers could’ve seen the two outfits switch position in the table, but all thoughts of a late Buccaneers resurgence were cut shore, when Cavaliers’ Hana Ismail claimed a dramatic first match in a third-game sudden death point.

Soares continued the Cavalier dominance, taking the only straight-game victory of the evening over Buccaneers’ Club Hero James Peach in 22 minutes.

It was down to World No.12 Nada Abbas to confirm the Coolhurst Cavaliers’ win in the tie, and the Egyptian delivered for her team, producing a brilliant comeback to beat Welsh No.1 Tesni Murphy.

In the final match of the night, Malaysia’s Eain Yow Ng managed to prevent the Cavaliers clean-sweep, coming back from a game behind against 2016 World Champion Karim Abdel Gawad to win 2-1 and earn the Buccaneers’ lone point of the evening.

Full replays of the four matches will also be available on the England Squash YouTube Channel.
