Lineups Announced For Grand Final

The eagerly anticipated lineups for the Optasia Squash Super League Grand Final between Chichester Centurions and Leamington Royals have been announced.

The Grand Final, which will take place on Friday, 20th June, will see five players from both the Centurions and Royals battle it out for the inaugural title at Winchester Racquets & Fitness Club live on SQUASHTV.

After topping the regular season table, the Royals have named a star-studded line-up for the Grand Final, which includes: Declan James, Satomi Watanabe, Ben Smith, Olivia Besant and Club Hero Owain Taylor.

Meanwhile, the Centurions’ squad will be led by Curtis Malik and Salma Hany, who have been named alongside Noah Meredith and Torrie Malik in the U25s matches, and Oliver Pett, who will be the Captain and Club Hero.

Matchups such as World No.7 Watanabe against World No.15 Hany, as well as World No.19 Marche versus World No.29 James, await fans tuning in for the Grand Final this Friday, in what is sure to be an exciting title decider.

The night’s play will begin at 7pm and feature five matches, including: two professional male players, two professional female players, two male players under 25, two female players under 25 and two club heroes.

All matches will continue to be played in the dynamic ‘best-of-three’ format, with a sudden-death scoring system ready to split players if tied at 10-10.
